Welcome to da club gurl!! Let me englighten you with some facts about reading:
1) It improves your langauge.
2) Improves your analytical skills.
3) Improves your oral skills.
4) Gives you a greater insight of the world.

Good books to read (that will get you more interested in reading):
Veronika Decides to Die, Paulo Coelho
The Devil and Miss Prymm, Paulo Coelho
The Chronicles Of Narnia, C.S Lewis
Woman At Point Zero, Nawal El Saadawi

You inspired me to create a "New Readers Section".
Anyho, check:

Well .. Chicken Soup is not a single book; it is a series ... so you have chicken soup for singles, soul, parent, student ... etc.
I have a few of them but haven't started reading them yet ...

I would recommend you read something for John gray; the one who wrote "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus" .. very interesting series.

For pure self improvement; go for Stephen Covey, the one who wrote "The 7 habits of highly effective people", "The 8th Habit", "First things first" and many others.

I will revert to my home library and get back to you with more titles ... :)

Hey Abeer ... you rock for taking up reading as a hobby ... good for you!

The books that you have chosen are very nice ... my advice to you is to choose different topics so that you won't feel bored of the same concept ... and please do finish the book till the very end ... I suggest that you start reading some self development books ... you will enjoy them

Well done .. I salute you :)
