A Warmer Shade Of Grey…
It’s been two years now since I took that film making mini-workshop with the RFC. Thanks to Lina I subscribed with the filmmaking track at the Barra El Saff youth empowerment program of Fastlink. After an overall inroduction to filmmaking I later took more specialized classes in editing. Coming with “A Warmer Shade of Grey” was larger than I’ve ever expected, knowing that the Yarmouk team of 10 members broke down gradually to only 2 girls Eman and myself. We basically had to do all the job in less than a month between location scouting shooting and editing. The outcome was definitely better than expected. All appreciation to the Royal Filmmaking Commission to give us the chance to be exposed to this kind of art. Merva, Hoshki and special thanks to Yousef who has done a great job teaching me on both Avid and iMovie. All respect to all of you.
Personally, I liked it. You should do more

Pathetic and sad, bunch of universities students’ losers and all they can do is post some stupid video on u tube, no class whatsoever. So much for brain power, u get out of Yarmook University like you went in, know nothing of value that can empower this ummah, oh how I yearn for some Islamic System to manage our lives so that the outside world don’t see Muslims through low lives such as yourselves

Salam Fawwaz, that’s a strong opinion you got!
I believe this could be one of the ways to empower the ummah… how many people converted to Islam after watching Moustapha Akkad’s “The Message”??! How many movies he had to make till he reached the stage to make such movie?
What you’ve just did is the reason why we made this movie “A Warmer Shade of Grey”… sometimes things are not as they might appear to you.. to some people who watched Moustapha Akkad’s Halloween series of horror movies might think he had lost his case with this ummah but he was in fact preparing for another hit movie by the name of great Islamic leader Saladin and that was his way to finance his next project…
That YouTube video was a short movie to demonstrate certain skills we came up with after the workshop… I think you missed the point here brother.
